The most interesting claim is you only need one inch of it for denitrification. Here is my idea that I want to try in my fuge: 1 inch of LS, 1 inch of Miracle mud and 1 pound of garf grunge. In the past when I used it I turned off all pumps in the sump and let it settle. FWIW I will never use miracle mud again. I don't think it's worth the price, there really is no miracle to it and you have to replace atleast 50% each year.
