On the box of miracle mud it say's for a 125 gallon tank I should have 30# seems like alot would probably fill the fuge up. It also say's about 1" deep. So I would think it would be more like 5-10 pounds.

In the past when I used it I turned off all pumps in the sump and let it settle. FWIW I will never use miracle mud again. I don't think it's worth the price, there really is no miracle to it and you have to replace atleast 50% each year.
